Help Transform Bethel Infant Primary School in Uganda

Join us in creating a safe, modern learning environment for 302 students in Nkandwa, Uganda. Your support will directly impact young lives through critical renovations and expanded facilities.

About Bethel Infant Primary School

School History

Founded in 2014, Bethel Infant Primary School has grown from offering infant to P4 education to now reaching P6 level. The school serves 302 pupils (180 girls and 122 boys), primarily orphans and underprivileged children who otherwise wouldn't have access to education.

Community Impact

Located in Nkandwa A Lc1 in Nkandla parish, Kibalinga sub-county, Mubende district, Uganda, the school serves a community of approximately 1,000 people living in 450 homes. It's one of just two schools serving this rural area.

Urgent Renovation Needs

Classroom Renovation

Several classrooms are in makeshift buildings exposed to the elements, disrupting the educational process during inclement weather. Renovations will create a conducive learning environment regardless of weather conditions.

Electricity Installation

The school, library, and church need electricity installation, estimated to cost $300. This will enable extended learning hours and better use of educational resources.

Sanitation Facilities

A flashing toilet is under construction and needs to be completed at a cost of approximately $300, improving hygiene and health conditions for students and staff.

Expansion Projects

New School Block

Three additional classrooms at $1,000

Library Completion

Library and house at the church for $400

Church Roofing

Headquarters church roof at $5,000

These expansion projects will allow us to accommodate more students and provide better educational resources. The new classrooms will help reduce overcrowding, while the library will create a dedicated space for reading and research.

Operational Needs

302

Students

Each requiring $15 monthly for school fees

7

Teachers

Each earning $50 per month

2

Support Staff

2 cleaners and 1 cook at $30 each monthly

Beyond physical infrastructure, the school has ongoing operational costs to ensure quality education. Your support helps maintain affordable education for vulnerable children while providing fair compensation for dedicated staff members.

Land Acquisition & Transportation

Church Branch Land

We need to purchase land for church branches in typical villages, with each plot costing approximately $500. These branches serve as community centers and support the educational mission.

Transportation Needs

A 9-seater vehicle costing about $4,000 is needed for visiting branches and transporting staff and supplies. This will improve coordination between locations and enhance program delivery.

Total Infrastructure Investment

The combined renovation costs for the school project is approximately $1,411 USD, with additional projects totaling around $10,200 for complete community development.
